Although bright and sunny a strong and cold wind was blowing from the east for the first of this summer's Grass Track racing with Colchester Rovers.

When this group raced again over the same distance Harrison won just ahead of Liam and Daniel in third. The first event a 300 metre scratch race was won by Joe Jackson from Jordon West, Sam Jackson, Silas Warren, Katy Bateman, Ellie Duley, Louisa Looker, and Robert Mercer. When this group raced for a second time over a handicapped 300 metres it was Sam Jackson who came through ahead of Louisa followed by Ellie and Jordon. The final handicapped race was won again by Joe Jackson from Louisa, Jordon and Sam Jackson.

Group three was made up of the nine and ten year olds and the first race was won by Adam Looker, Hannah West, Sam Taylor, Caitlin Douglas, Nathan King, Leon Sherlock Booth and Lochie Hankin Appleby. This group raced for a second 300 metres with Leon winning ahead of Adam from Hannah and Nathan. The final handicapped race for this group was won by newcomer Bethan York from Brad Watts, followed by Lochie, Adam and Hannah.

Group four consisted of the eleven year olds and upwards.
