Mistley:

Really tough race at Mistley - more so for the Seniors who had an hour of riding round wheen the course had been churned up by three other races - well done to James Coiley - new Rovers rider who has not ridden for a few weeks.

Fantastic effort by Nick Webber in 3rd place in the vets race with 5 seconds separating the top four riders.

The rovers had an excellent back up to Nick with myself 7th, Richard Jackson 11th, Tony Sheppard 29th, Edmond Spurgeon 30th (in his second event), Peter Hall 31st (despite mechanical problems), Jim Clayton (in only his second event) 32nd, Peter Partner 35th, Chris Hall, 36th and Chris Douglas (in his first event) 38th.

However the real praise goes to the fantastic turn out in the under 12's with a well earned second place from James Jackson (having worked hard in a coaching session at Hog Hill on Saturday and having tried a shoulder plant visited A & E James did very well to get on the start line),

A fantastic effort for fifth place for Elliot Jarvis despite a couple of falls, Rory Smith was 11th and gets stronger each race, Finley Clayton 14th (Fin continues to get used to his new bike as does Fergus) Fergus was 16th, Daniel Hall was 19th (and rides like a far more experienced rider than his 7 years), Lochie Hankin Appleby was 20th (well done Lochie second time on a new bike), Oliver Partner was 21st and Cameron Douglas was 22nd (well done to both - two of our younger riders with many years left as under 12's).

Thanks to Ken Baker and the team of helpers for putting on an excellent event.

We did not have any Youth riders today but James Jobber and Daniel Barnard were riding at Newport track and Ellis Smith was unwell and so we hope to have them back next week for the Team event.
